Education leading to change in world

Education leading to change in world-Educator to be believed and to be enriched From Me!!! You ask me to write article for youth, Parent and educator!!! What topic I should select? I share here the discussion made with my friends and colleagues. In 15 years of school, here’s what I was not taught • How to manage my finances/budge. • What are taxes/how to do them? • Sex education that was not just a token chapter about male and female genitalia and reproductive systems. • How to do self-guided research and review. • Independent thought and how to articulate my own opinion in speech and writing. • Other basic skills that adults require to navigate life. Yet, by the time, I was 18, I was expected to choose a college degree that would establish the course of my life and determine where I end up. It was when I started teaching in a school that I realised the full extent of damage done by my schooling and my education system. For the parents and educators reading this,

How can I improve myself?

How can I improve myself? 21 ideas Detoxify your speech. Reduce the use of cuss words. Be polite. Read everyday. Doesn’t matter what. Choose whatever interests you. Promise yourself that you will never talk rudely to your parents. They never deserve it. Observe people around you. Imbibe their virtues. Spend some time with nature everyday. Feed the stray animals. Yes, it feels good to feed the hungry. No ego. No ego. No ego. Just learn, learn and learn. Do not hesitate to clarify a doubt. “He who asks a question remains fool for 5 minutes. He who does not ask remains a fool forever”. Whatever you do, do it with full involvement. That’s meditation. Keep distance from people who give you negative vibes but never hold grudges. Stop comparing yourself with others. If you won’t stop, you will never know your own potential. “The biggest failure in life is the failure to try”. Always remember this. “I cried as I had no shoes until I saw a man who had no feet”.

My Mother

MY MOTHER... This is a truly BEAUTIFUL piece please read this at a slow pace, digesting every word at leisure...do not hurry....```this is a treasure```... For those lucky to still be blessed with your Mom, this is beautiful For those of us who aren't, this is even more beautiful. For those who are moms, you'll love this. The young Mother set her foot on the path of life. "Is this the long way?" she asked. And the Guide said:  "Yes, and the way is hard. And you will be old before you reach the end of it. But the end will be better than the beginning." But the young Mother was happy, and she would not believe that anything could be better than these years. So she played with her children, and gathered flowers for them along the way, and bathed them in the clear streams; and the sun shone on them, and the young Mother cried, "Nothing will ever be lovelier than this." Then the night came, and the storm, and the path was dark, a

Nature and the poets

Nature and the Poets... Nature and its beauty have always been a profound source of inspiration for the aspiring writers and especially the poets since times immemorial. Different poets have described the beauty of Nature in their own imaginative way. And some of them have even gone to the extent of comparing Nature with God. William Wordsworth, the best known poet of Nature, has shifted the centre of poetry to the rural places, where the fields are never brown and springs never go dry; where every breeze is dusty with the pollens of romance, where every twig is blessed with a sweet music that fills our hearts with gushes of emotions and creates strange thrills in our minds. As a typical poet of Nature, he could find tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in the stones and good in everything. Of all the poets, who have written of Nature, there is none that can be compared with him in the truthfulness of representation. Wordsworth gives us the  bird and the

Life after 60

Life can begin at 60, it is all in your hands! Many people feel unhappy, health-wise and security-wise, after 60 years of age, owing to the diminishing importance given to them and their opinions. But, it need not be so, if only we understand the basic principles of life and follow them scrupulously. Here are ten mantras to age gracefully and make life after retirement pleasant. 1. Never say I am aged' There are three ages, chronological, biological, and psychological. The first is calculated based on our date of birth; the second is determined by the health conditions; the third is how old we feel we are. While we don't have control over the first, we can take care of our health with good diet, exercise and a cheerful attitude. A positive attitude and optimistic thinking can reverse the third age. 2. Health is wealth If you really love your kith and kin, taking care of your health should be your priority. Thus, you will not be a burden to them. Have an annual hea

The power of Love and Belonging

Exploring the power of love and belonging Love and belonging are essential to the human experience. As I conducted my interviews, I realized that only one thing separated the men and women who felt a deep sense of love and belonging from the people who seem to be struggling for it. That one thing is the belief in their worthiness. It’s as simple and complicated as this: If we want to fully experience love and belonging, we must believe that we are worthy of love and belonging. When we can let go of what other people think and own our story, we gain access to our worthiness—the feeling that we are enough just as we are and that we are worthy of love and belonging. When we spend a lifetime trying to distance ourselves from the parts of our lives that don’t fit with who we think we’re supposed to be, we stand outside of our story and hustle for our worthiness by constantly performing, perfecting, pleasing, and proving. Our sense of worthiness—that critically important piece th

Famous Writer Mr. Kushwant Singh says: “Indian Freedom is written on Muslims’ blood, their participation in freedom struggle was much more,  in proportion to their small percentage of population”  There are 95300 freedom fighters’ names  written on India Gate, Delhi out of that 61945 are Muslim names which means 65% of freedom fighters were Muslims. Habits

Habits:Good and Bad Habits 10-Steps — Just as Good as the 12-Step Folk  You don’t actually need to follow every single one of these steps to quit a habit, but the more of them you do, the higher your chances. I recommend all of them if you want to be all in.  1. Have a big motivation . Lots of times people quit things because it sounds nice: “It would be nice to quit caffeine.” But that’s a weak motivation. What you really want is strong motivation: I quit smoking because I knew it was killing me, and I knew my kids would smoke as adults if I didn’t quit. Know 25 of  your Why, and connect with it throughout your quit. Write it down at the top of a document called your “Quit Plan.”  2. Make a big commitment . Now that you know your motivation, be fully committed. A common mistake is say, “I’ll do this today,” but then letting yourself off the hook when the urges get strong. Instead, tell everyone about it. Ask for their help. Give them regular updates and be accountable. Have
